- Foreign investors (below 50 years of age) on Malaysia My Second Home Programme, who deposit the amount of RM300,000 in any Malaysian local bank or financial institution
- Foreign investors (above 50 years of age) on MM2H Programme, who deposit the amount of RM150,000 in any Malaysian local bank, financial institution or show proof of monthly off-shore income of RM10,000 such as pension scheme
- New Zealand passport holders (between 18 and 30 years of age) visiting Malaysia on New Zealand's Working Holiday Programme
Note: Applicant must possess sufficient funds of a minimum amount of RM3,600 in cash, traveler's cheques or bank drafts for the maintenance during the period of stay in Malaysia

- The validity of Social Visit Pass issued to foreign investors on MM2H Programme is 10 years (depending on the validity of the applicants' passport) and is renewable. Apply for Social Visit Pass Renewal
- The validity of Social Visit Pass issued to New Zealand passport holders on New Zealand's Working Holiday Programme is 6 months. Extension will not be allowed
- Foreign nationals from APEC member countries are exempted from applying for a Social Visit Pass (up to 30 days)
